The Ranch House serves classic meals that no one is ever going to photograph and post on Instagram – because they’ll be too busy eating! Known for the soups and sandwiches, they also have daily specials with an extra bit of love. Locals love their potato soup, loaded baked potatoes, and (when they have it) a classic Louisiana gumbo! Good food, good people, good place.
 

J&T CRAWFISH

A trip to Louisiana isn’t complete without a feed of crawdads! And when you’re in Leesville, that means pulling up to J&T Crawfish. This isn’t so much a “restaurant” as a “shack,” but who cares – you can get a pound of DELICIOUS crawfish for only $2 a pound. They’re great too, cooked up with J&T’s own spice blend. This is about as authentic as Louisiana eating gets!

Slappy’s & Pappy’s has been a Leesville tradition for decades now.
